Chiara’s Crema Pasticcera di Nonna Nonnona (pastry cream)
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 egg yoks
- ½ liter milk
- peel of 1 lemon
Instructions
- In small pot combine flour, sugar, and egg yolks and mix well.
- Add milk, little by little, mxing with a spoon.
- Add lemon peel.
- Cook on medium heat until mixture begins to boil.
- Once mixture begins to boil, cook 3 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cook, stirring occasionally.
