Tart Dough (Pâte à Tarte)
For 9-inch tart pan.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon water
- 4 ounces granulated sugar ½ cup
- 4 ounces unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into pieces 1 stick
- 9 ounces all-purpose flour 1¾ cups
Instructions
- Place eggs water, and sugar in bowl of electric mixer. Mix at low speed with paddle to combine. Add butter and beat in at low speed. Add flour and mix in until just incorporated. Dough will be soft.
- Gather dough into a ball. Wrap with plastic wrap. Chill for at least 1 hour before using.
