Italian Almond Paste Cookies
Ingredients
- 8 ounces almond paste (such as Solo)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg whites
- sliced almonds
- dark chocolate
- sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉.
- In a food processor, combine almond paste and sugar until well mixed.
- Add eggs whites and mix. The dough should be creamy.
- Remove dough from food processor and shape into strips.
- Roll strips in sliced almonds.
- Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape strips into crescents. Place crescents on cookie sheet.
- Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.
- Let cookies rest until cool.
- Meanwhile, melt chocolate.
- Dip cookies in chocolate and add sprinkles.
