Cold Chili Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 package soft tofu
- 3 small scallion, sliced into thin pieces
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted if desired)
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice cooking wine (or mirin or sherry)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or brown sugar)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (or rice vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili fermented bean sauce (or sambal oelek or fried chili crisp)
- 1 teaspoon cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- ⅙ teaspoon white pepper
Instructions
- Cut tofu into pieces about 2" x ½" by ½".
- Top with scallions and sesame seeds.
- Spoon sauce over. Let sit at least 10 minutes before serving.
