Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 inches ginger, peeled and thinly sliced into rounds
  • 4 cloves
  • grated zest of two oranges
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 12-ounce bag cranberries, rinsed and mushy ones removed

Instructions

  • Combine sugar, ginger, cloves, orange zest, and water in large saucepan.
  • Bring to boil, then add cranberries.
  • Cook over medium heat until cranberries begin to pop.
  • Remove from heat, cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
