Chocolate Chip Cookies

Stand mixer with paddle attachment
3 baking sheets
Ingredients
½
pound
unsalted cultured butter, softened
(2 sticks)
¾
cup
brown sugar
¾
cup
granulated sugar
2
large eggs, room temperature
½
teaspoon
baking soda
½
teaspoon
fine salt
2
cups
King Arthur unbleached all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
2-3
cups
semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Prepare dough
Place butter and sugars in mixer bowl and cream together.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating until well blended.
Add baking soda and salt and beat together briefly.
Add flour and beat together until ingredients combined.
Add vanilla extract and beat together briefly.
Add chips and beat together just to combine.
Bake
Place teaspoon-size mounds of dough on ungreased baking sheets. On each baking sheet, place three rows, five deep.
Bake for approx. 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
Transfer to rack to cook.
